The first Ballycastle Library Information Session for the North Coast Community Exchange was held on Saturday 28th June, 11am to 12pm. It was well attended and it was encouraging to see new faces along with established members. Some came who were already members but hadn’t used the exchange since joining and it was useful to go over the system with them, help with password resets, etc. and to enter some transactions.

Ballycastle Library information session, June 2025

It was rewarding to see members helping and advising each other and to hear everyone talking about their own experiences and explaining how it was working for them. Someone attended who had never been before and asked the group questions which generated a very interesting discussion about the history of the exchange as well as future hopes and ideas. The friendly atmosphere around the table with a cup of tea embodied the community exchange values as we shared examples of the different community and social aspects that members are enjoying.

We all agreed that it was a suitable venue and look forward to future information sessions at Ballycastle Library.

Heartfelt thank you to the Ballycastle library staff for all their help, support and encouragement! They produced and printed very attractive posters for us and also kindly provided refreshments.
